Ben Depp
Montegut Blooms, Louisiana from Tide Lines
Noted for his uniquely heightened sense of perspective, New Orleans photographer Ben Depp brings his second series of aerial photos to A Gallery for Fine Photography this month. Branching off from his Louisiana Drowning series last year—which documented, from a motor-powered paraglider thousands of feet above, the effects of human influence on Louisiana's wetlands—Tide Lines focuses the movement of water and the vital life of our natural surrounding habitats.
Depp's work has been published in National Geographic Explorer, Smithsonian Magazine, Sierra Club, Audubon, Louisiana Cultural Vistas, American Scientist, Photographer's Forum, and in the August 2018 issue of Country Roads, which you can read here.
An artist reception will be held on April 18 from 5 pm–7 pm, and the exhibit will be on display until May 21. Free. agallery.com.
