Words for You Fundraiser for Festival of Words

The Festival of Words Cultural Arts Collective in Acadiana brings authors and poets from across the state and country to Acadiana. Now, as a fundraiser for what might be a virtual festival this year, the collective is bringing works by popular authors directly to you—and just for you, at that. Approximately 40 established authors are available to commission works from authors for $50, or $100 for a poem by a former or current Poet Laureate. Volunteer authors include Jack Bedell, Jolie Blanchard, James Blanchard, Melissa Bonin, Megan Breaux, Shya Hebert, Darrell Bourque, Liz Burk, Josh Capps, Gavin Chesteen, Dominick Cross, Toby Daspit, Cornelius Eady, Gina Ferrera, Charles Claudel I Garrett, Martha Garner, Ava Leavell Haymon, Clemonce Heard, Cidra Jackson, Kirby Jambon, Alex PoeticSoul Johnson, and many more.
