Schema: Shawne Major

In Major's abstract compositions, Mardi Gras beads, tiny plastic toys, buttons, and jewelry are sewn together using long lengths of thread—a metaphor for the intricate layering and piling of inter-related belief systems weave themselves into a person's sense of self.
