Art of Food
Coming up in November, we’ve got the third annual Art of Food dinner, a collaboration with Ann Connelly Fine Art and Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Senses collide when Chef Jeffrey Hansell translates the urgent environmental messages of muralist Francisco “Pastel” Diaz into a three-course meal with passed hors-d’oeuvres, tossing in his own cause célèbre with several invasive ingredients from the land and water.
St. Francisville Food & Wine Festival
On November 17, we’ll find out what happens when you cross a dinner party and a palooza—please, don’t try this at home. Five chefs, savvy wine and cocktail pairings, cheese, oysters, live music, and even friendly (or fierce) competition on the bocce court. It’s the St. Francisville Food & Wine Festival at the Myrtles Plantation, and we believe you won’t have seen, heard, or tasted anything like it before.
"The Past, Present, and Future of Como" Supper Club
And as the year draws to a close, we have one more special Supper Club in store. On December 8, join us right on the banks of the Mississippi River for a sunset gospel concert and farm-to-table feast from CheFarmer Matthew Raiford and his partner, alchemist Jovan Sage of Farmer & Larder in Brunswick, Georgia. There we’ll unveil the spectacular restoration of Como Plantation, set to become a silent retreat next year. So let’s make some noise while we can.
